Black Desert Online Launches on Steam, Has over 4.5K Concurrent Players

Black Desert Online officially launched on Steam yesterday and hit ~4.5k concurrent players within 24 hours. Although it may not seem like much for such a huge game, keep in mind anyone playing on Steam is a New player, as players could not transfer their accounts on Steam and anyone who wanted to play on Steam had to buy the game. The launch price of $6 probably helped boost sales quite a bit too. So much so that my brother actually re-bought the game just so he could play on Steam.

If you never played Black Desert Online I strongly recommend checking it out. It's only $6 on Steam and even has a free 7 day trial if you download it from the official website. It's also one of the only action MMORPGs with a large persistent world. We gave it our Best MMORPG of 2016 award for a reason. I suspect the Steam numbers will continue to increase in the coming days.

Update May 26, 2017: Steam concurrent numbers are now over 6k
