Black Desert Online Adds New Content And Kicks Off Events Across All Platforms
Black Desert Online sees another week that’s chock full of new content across all of its versions, from stylish furniture and new seasonal servers on PC and console, to winter-themed events to celebrate the opening of the mobile version’s frosty new region of Everfrost.
PC players can now craft previously cash shop-exclusive furniture at the newly opened Old Moon Furniture Workshop in Velia 3-1. The PC update also includes Maegu tweaks, improved mount movement on certain terrain, quest updates, and upcoming events like a boss fight event and Twitch Drops.
Over on console, players can now create characters to get their journey started on the newly-opened summer season server with horse-granting quests, gifts, summer seal rewards, and multiple events to mark the occasion. The latest console patch also brought another round of class adjustments, quest updates, and the removal of pet levels.
Black Desert Mobile players can enjoy winter-themed events that revolve around snowman dolls and surviving snowstorms to celebrate the opening of Everfrost, the mobile MMORPG’s version of the Mountain of Eternal Winter. This week’s mobile patch also offers additional rewards for Fields of Valor: Desert participants, improvements to movement in Everfrost, and a level reset for Trials of Ator: Elite.
Finally, Pearl Abyss is talking up the recent influx of players on Steam and Twitch viewers following the release of the Land of the Morning Light expansion last month.
“In the last month, Black Desert Online witnessed a 267% increase in new players and a 335% in returning players globally, based on Pearl Abyss’ internal analytics,” the studio reports. “In one week on Steam, Black Desert Online reached number 13 ranking, jumping 50 spots in the U.S. Top Sellers category and hit its highest peak of 33,546 concurrent players in two years (33,859 players in July 2021).”
