Battlerite Joining The Battle Royale Bandwagon

Yet another game is embracing the wildly successful Battle Royale genre. This time it's Battlerite, the free to play MOBA from Stunlock Studios. Stunlock Studios made the announcement earlier this week on twitter.

The new game mode, titled Battlerite Royale, will feature a map 30x larger than a typical arena and will have 10 matches with 20 players. Stunlock Studios' Marketing Director Johan Ilves, the goal is to “give players the excitement of a Diablo-esqaue exploration experience combined with the character variation of a MOBA and the thrill of a survival game.”

I'm personally a big fan of Battlerite and am excited to see what a battle royale mode looks like in the game. We've seen MMORPGs like MapleStory 2 and Moonlight Blade implement battle royale game modes but this is the first time we're seeing a MOBA try out a battle royale mode.
