Bandai Namco has revived the classic Pac-Man arcade game in a new multiplayer battle royale-ish spin-off called Pac-Man 99 for the Nintendo Switch. Like Tetris 99, 99 players will need to clear old-school Pac-Man stages, doing their best to be the last player alive. Players can also use different power-ups like speed-ups or Jammer Pac-Man to gain an advantage or disrupt other players’ runs.

“PAC-MAN 99 is the latest entry in the long-running PAC-MAN franchise with an online multiplayer experience unlike any other in the series’ history,” said Bandai Namco. “Ninety-nine PAC-MAN players compete against each other until one remains. Chomp down on Power Pellets to activate special power-ups and send Jammer PAC-MAN to opponents’ mazes to become the last PAC standing.”

The game is now live and is free-to-play on Switch. Paid DLCs and DLC packages are also available on the Nintendo Online Store. Check out the official announcement trailer below. You can also head over to the Pac-Man 99 Nintendo Store page for more info.
