Co-op Roguelite Atlas Rogues Will Officially Be Shutting Down In July

A few months ago, Gamigo and its parent company Media and Games Invest (MGI) revealed that Atlas Rogues didn’t meet expectations and “will not be pursued further.” As of today, Gamigo has announced that they will be shutting down the game effective on July 5th. Note that the date isn’t set in stone and may change over the next few weeks, possibly to an earlier date.
“It’s with a heavy heart that we announce today that the Atlas Rogues servers will be shutting down. This is not a decision that we have taken lightly, but we have concluded that the game can no longer sustain itself.”
Note that refunds will only be given to players who purchased the game in 2022. Eligible players can request for a refund by creating a support ticket here.
Atlas Rogues launched into Early Access on Steam in November 2020 as a co-op roguelite spinoff of Trion Worlds’ failed Atlas Reactor turn-based MMO. The game, however, was poorly received by the gaming community and subsequently fell to single digit concurrency by the latter half of 2021. MGI later reported in its Q3 2021 financial report that it no longer had plans to pursue the game.
