Atlas Reactor Is Officially Launching On October 4th, Open Beta Starts Today

Trion Worlds announced today that Atlas Reactor will be officially launching on October 4th. In order to prepare for launch, the company is running an Open Beta test from now until September 25th. After a few days offline, a head start period will begin on September 30th for those who have purchased the game. The head start will run until the game launches on October 4th.

As to how this will all work for existing players, a representative from Trion stated the following.

We’ll be doing a progress wipe at the end of Open Beta, across all players. The wipe takes place September 26-29, during which time Atlas Reactor will be offline. Only purchasers of the game will have access during head start on Sept. 30th. All purchases made before or during Open Beta will be credited to accounts plus an additional 10% bonus as Trion’s thank-you for helping create Atlas Reactor.

Those who don't purchase the game will be able to play the full game during Open Beta and the Free Mode after launch, but they will not be able to play during the head start.

At launch, the Founder's Packs, which are currently available at a discount, will be removed from sale and replaced with Launch Packs. If you want to get the game for cheap, you will have to pick it up before launch.
