Pirate MMO Atlas Gets A PTR Server, Five New Islands, And A Giant Turtle
Upcoming pirate sandbox MMO Atlas has just received two significant updates this week. On top of the list is the addition of a PTR server. To login to the new server, simply select publictestrealm from the Betas drop down box on the game’s Steam Properties menu. And, since the server will primarily be used for testing new features and additions to the game, Wildcard Studios has also reopened their PTR Bug reporting channels on the official forums and the game’s official Discord channel.
The second update this week adds five new explorable areas to the game. “First things first, this update adds some new explorable islands to the ATLAS, in addition to the Ice Dungeon,” says the devs. “We’ll be placing these islands onto the existing ATLAS, without shifting any of the current islands or biomes around, which means a wipe will not be necessary.”
With new islands rising out of the sea, the devs advice ship captains to sail away from the affected areas or risk their ships being grounded. The new islands are now live on the PTR along with the new Giant Tortugar carrier turtle.
The update also comes with new cosmetics, attachments, weapons, and structures along with a host of new features, quality of life improvements, and bug fixes. Check out the full patch notes on the Atlas official forums for a rundown of the changes.
