Armored Warfare developers Obsidian Entertainment could have done a 2015 retrospective. Their game did come out in 2015, albeit towards the end, and quite a lot of Beta testing occurred over the course of 2015. Senior Producer Joshua Morris would rather look ahead, as he did in Armored Warfare's end-of-year Producer Letter.

In the letter, Morris calls Armored Warfare a game that still has "great potential." He assures players that the team is aware that, although the game is great today, they are not taking its potential lightly and are working to "unlock that potential and deliver a solid game experience at many levels." They appreciate their players' investments and are working to make the game even better than it is now.

In the new year of 2016, the team will work to expand the "vehicle lineup for all tier levels," including more vehicles from "other parts of the world." New maps will be added. Existing maps will be updated. New game modes will be introduced, including "a competitive mode allowing battalions and individuals compete for both prestige and rewards." "Vehicle customization" of some sort will be introduced. Players will be able to watch replays of their matches.

In addition to new features, existing core mechanics will be improved. Various balance issues will be worked on. Matchmaking will be improved. Ammo types will be improved to "take advantage of many modern ammo types." The spotting and camouflage systems will be expanded.

The letter ends with Morris ensuring players that the team is listening to them. "We have heard that these issues are important to you and we wholeheartedly agree, so will devote more time in this area," he states. In the future, they will even be reorganizing the forums "to better receive your feedback." Many of the systems they are working to adjust are "very complex," however, and Morris reaffirms that it may take time and have "unforeseen effects." Regardless, the team will "work to achieve the desired result."
