ARK: Survival Evolved Announces Mounted Combat In V248
Riding atop your trusty dino in ARK: Survival Evolved while he does all the fighting for you is all well and good but nothing beats actually doing the dirty work yourself. If you've been praying to the gaming gods for actual mounted combat, then your wish is about to be granted, at least for raptors and a few select mounts that is. Studio Wildcard co-founder, Jeremy Stieglitz, announced on Twitter that rider weapon usage will finally be implemented in the game when v248 rolls in.

v248 is planned for release on October 10th and will also include procedurally-generated ARKs, breeding mutations, and a handful of new dinos. The update will also include performance optimizations for structure-heavy areas.
