ARK: Survival Evolved Goes The H1Z1 Route And Splits Into Two Games

Studio Wildcard announced today via a livestream on Twitch that ARK: Survival Evolved would be splitting into two games, just as H1Z1 did recently. The new game will be called ARK: Survival of the Fittest and will consist of familiar gameplay from the game's Survival of the Fittest mod. An employee from Studio Wildcard has confirmed that ARK: Survival of the Fittest will be completely free-to-play. Furthermore, the announcement implies that you can actually win money by playing.

ARK: Survival of the Fittest is set to launch on Steam sometime later today. You can find the announcement on Twitch. The actual announcement happens somewhere around 1:18:00 to 1:20:00. No details regarding a possible Xbox One release have been released as of yet.
