ARK Announces "Hunger Games Style" Contest

Studio Wildcard has announced a new mode for their Early Access Survival MMO, ARK: Survival Evolved. The new "Survival of the Fittest" mode features a last man standing fight-to-the-death in a "Hunger Games style" deathmatch. To celebrate this new mode, Studio Wildcard and Twitch will be hosting a debut of the game mode in the form of a $20,000 grand prize blood bath. Twitch viewers are welcome to watch and act as "game makers" voting on Evolution Events which are world-altering sequences that occur every 30 minutes which includes but isn't limited to: Freak Weather, Dinosaur Assaults and Supply Drops.

The game starts as the players descend upon the battlefield in a ring formation with a stockpile of goodies in the center... just like the novel series in which the mode is based.
