Arena Breakout: Infinite Locks In September 15 Steam Release

MoreFun Studios has confirmed that Arena Breakout: Infinite will leave Early Access and hit Steam on September 15. The free-to-play tactical extraction shooter, which first found an audience on mobile, is now aiming for a full PC rollout after gathering more than two million Steam wishlists. The game is developed and published by Morefun Studios, a subsidiary of the Chinese giant Tencent.
The extraction shooter genre has ballooned in popularity since Escape from Tarkov popularized the risk-and-reward format. Arena Breakout: Infinite follows that template: players enter a PvPvE map, scavenge what they can, then try to escape before another squad, or an AI patrol, drops them. MoreFun says the launch version rebalances high-tier loot and removes any form of paid power, a move likely meant to reassure genre fans who prize fairness.
Arena Breakout: Infinite Key Features / Updates
- Five playable maps: Farm, Valley, Armory, TV Station, and Northridge, all featuring a new dynamic weather cycle with the chance of severe storms.
- Expanded Farm: Fresh areas such as the Grain Trading Zone and Stables add new firefights and loot routes.
- Game modes: Normal, Lockdown, Forbidden across multiple difficulty settings, plus a requested Solo Mode and time-limited events.
- Trophy Room overhaul: The hideout now includes an Intelligence Department, Living Area, and Workbench. Top-tier ammo and gear must be crafted here instead of bought.
- Three extra firearms: PP19, CZ807, and AN94 join the existing arsenal of 69 guns and 881 attachments, along with 40 new tactical accessories.
- New medical items: Experimental Physique Enhancing Pill and Battlefield First Aid Kit Set broaden survival options.
- Supply Stations: On-map kiosks let players purchase certain resources mid-raid.
- Item balance tweaks: Premium ammo and armor are now raid-only or craft-only, reducing market dominance.
- Free Titanium Case: A nine-slot secure container earned through seasonal missions gives everyone the largest safety buffer without spending money.
- No pay-to-win economy: Premium currency (Koens) cannot be bought with cash, addressing a long-standing concern in free-to-play shooters.
Arena Breakout launched on mobile in 2023 and quickly built a following thanks to its punchy gunplay and dense audio mix. The PC edition aims to compete directly with genre stalwarts like Escape from Tarkov and Dark and Darker, but with a free price tag and Tencent’s infrastructure behind it.
