Anthem Devs Ready For Public Demo Weekend Launch This Friday

anthem javelins metalLooks like BioWare is all set for the upcoming Anthem Open Demo Weekend. After last week’s rocky demo launch, the devs aren’t taking any chances, especially since virtually anyone can take the game out for a test ride this time around.

“Like last weekend, we will be prepared with more server capacity than we anticipate will be needed. However, predicting player numbers – particularly for a new game like Anthem in its first open public weekend – is very difficult. If more players decide to try the game than we anticipate, we also have systems in place to control entry rates of incoming players. This is to ensure players in the game are having uninterrupted fun and to give us time to increase capacity. If you encounter this situation, we hope you’ll be patient with us and try again later.”

According to Head of Live Service Chad Robertson, the dev team has spent the entire week preparing the for the game’s first open public demo and improving the overall player experience. “For those of you that played last weekend, you should see significant improvement in multiple areas over last week,” says Robertson. He also assures players that they’ll be on the lookout for any issues during the demo. “Our team will again be working around the clock to deal with any problems that arise so that all players can enjoy the game.”

Robertson also announced that returning VIP Demo Players will retain their pilot level, Javelins, gear, weapons, and customizations from last weekend's demo. Check out the Tweet below for information on how to get into the game. You can also head over to the Anthem official site for more info.
