Amazon Game Studios: New World 24/7 Alpha Testing Winding Down To A Close
Amazon Game Studios’ sandbox MMORPG New World has been undergoing 24/7 alpha testing since invites first came out in September last year. Amazon, however, has just announced alpha tests will be coming to a close and that the round-the-clock test servers will be going offline on June 3rd.
“Thousands of you accepted the call to join us on the journey of making New World, and we’re grateful for your time, passion, and thoughtful feedback. We’ve used that feedback to change and add features to the game, steadily improving gameplay. We’ve also used your input to design major new features that we are excited to share with you. Since these features are large in scope and create changes to the world that could be disruptive, we will end this phase of Alpha testing and plan to bring the game out of 24/7 live service on June 3, 2019.”
Don’t worry, testing isn’t over yet. Amazon says that they’ll be asking for help periodically so keep a sharp eye out for those invites. Signups are also still open. If you haven’t signed up yet, you can do so here. You can also head over to the New World official site for more info.
