Albion Online's Roadmap To Closed Beta Posted

Following the end of the Summer Alpha, the founder and CEO of Sandbox Interactive, Stefan Wiezorek, posted a roadmap for Albion Online's closed beta. Some of the highlights of this roadmap include a "flattening" of the gear power curve, the removal of the Silver Tax, and the introduction of Open World PvP events, examples of which include randomly spawning treasure chests or world bosses that players have to fight over. Learning points ended up being a roadblock to player progress so they are being reworked to boost progress rather than hinder it, now allowing you to fully unlock a destiny board node that you have partially unlocked.

Albion Online | Feature Highlight: Hellgates

Hellgates will be expanded upon. The developers want to create a variety of Hellgates for groups as small as 1v1 and as large as 50v50. They also want to create Hellgates that can have three groups fighting, such as 5v5v5.

Guild versus Guild is being reworked to be on a more local scale than a global one. Those attacking or defending a region will now need a battle vault in that region rather than simply having a global one. Characters now have to be within a certain distance of the fight when it starts in order to be part of the fight. A 24 hour timer will be placed on those that take part in Guild versus Guild and, during that time, they can only take part in fights that take place near the first fight.

The full list of changes is linked above. It seems like they have a lot planned for the closed beta, especially in terms of making PvP more meaningful.
