Albion Online's Hector Update Makes Major Changes To Hellgates

Still in Final Beta, Sandbox Interactive's highly anticipated sandbox MMORPG Albion Online will be receiving a new update sometime in the near future that makes major changes to Hellgates. Dubbed the "Hector" update, the upcoming update is set to make the following additions and changes.
- Mob interactions and map layout have been redesigned to give players a better PvP experience without concerning themselves with wandering demons that can affect the outcome of team fights.
- Mob placement has been improved to prevent stagnant stand-offs and lead to more skirmishes between opposing teams.
- Dynamic spawn points will give both teams an equal chance and allow for changing gameplay.
- Hellgates now spawn in three types; 2v2 in green zones, 5v5 in yellow zones, as well as 5v5 in red & black zones, with the risk - and reward - increasing from zone to zone.
In a new blog post about the update, Sandbox Interactive discusses some of its design goals for Hellgates. They are about PvP and mobs should have little effect on said PvP. The mobs themselves are simply sources of loot and "a time buffer" that ensures that a second group can join before the Hellgate closes. That being said, there are "challenging" minibosses within Hellgates that provide the group that kills them with "a significant amount of loot." They are, however, "immobile and ranged."
