Albion Online Faction Warfare 2.0 Playtest Scheduled For February 26

Earlier this month, Sandbox Interactive announced their plans to revamp faction warfare in Albion Online with the Call to Arms update. As we all know, it’s always best to test out new features and significant changes to gameplay before they actually go live in the game, which is why the team is inviting players to put Faction Warfare 2.0 through its paces in a two-hour playtest this Friday.

The Faction Warfare 2.0 playtest will run from 10:30am - 12:30pm PT on Friday, February 26. Upon logging in to the test server, players will be able to choose to fight for either the Fort Sterling or the Thetford faction. Players will be able to use their characters from the live server since free skillpoints and gear won’t be available during the test. A free repair station, however, will be available at each outpost.

Sandbox Interactive advises players to update their test clients in advance so jump right in and make the most of the two-hour test window. Details can be found on the Albion Online official forums. You can also watch an overview of the upcoming faction warfare changes below.
