Albion Online Begins Open Beta Testing For Its New Fresh Start European Server

Albion Online has thrown open the doors to its European server for a limited time as open beta testing begins for the new fresh start regional server. The open beta version will be free for everyone to try regardless of where they are in the world and will offer a “condensed version” of the game with significantly accelerated progress to allow the developers to gather as much data as possible on each and every gameplay system before the server officially goes live.
The open beta test will end on April 23 to give way for the start of the first leg of the founder’s early access period on April 24 which will then run all the way up to Albion Europe’s official launch on April 29. All progress during the open beta will be wiped prior to start of the founder’s early access but those who manage to earn the exclusive Duelist cosmetic during the playtest will have it carried over to both the early access and full launch.
Those playing outside of the region who are looking to start fresh will be free to join the new server if they don’t mind the latency difference. Players in North America, however, can comfortably make the switch as the ping difference between Albion Americas and Albion Europe is reportedly just 50ms. On the flip side, European players already playing on Albion Americas can choose to remain there if they don’t fancy starting over again.
