Albion Online Developers Talk About The Cador Update

In a new video, Sandbox Interactive Game Director Robin Henkys, Creative Director Jörg Friedrich, and Game Designer Michael Schwahn sat down to talk about the upcoming Cador update. A "flu wave" slowed down progress on the update, but it is stated that it is in its "last two weeks of production."
Topics discussed include a rework of the beginning of the game to make it more solo-friendly and help teach players how to play. Avoiding skills and spells will be more important in combat. A new invisibility buff will help with ambushes.
The armor system is being restructured so that cloth, leather, and plate armor are light, medium, and heavy armor, respectively. Combat-focused players will see their look and spells change due to their armor being replaced. They may be required to reforge the item. However, all of players' Destiny Board progress will be kept. Crafters will only be able to craft, for example, cloth armor. There will no longer be light, medium, and heavy cloth armor.
