Now that Albion Online is now live on mobile devices, developer Sandbox Interactive is now looking to expand their audience even further with a possible console launch. That’s going to take some time though as the team is still in the planning stage and is currently focused on creating new content for the game.

“Eventually, it is quite likely that we'll bring Albion to consoles, but we do not have any specific plans for this yet and it almost certainly would not happen within the next 12 months,” said Sandbox in an AMA on Reddit this past weekend. “Right now, 100% of our focus is on the upcoming major game updates, with a strong focus on open world gameplay.”

Speaking of new content, the developers also touched on their plans to improve crafting and gathering, specifically a rework of the reroll system, an increase in resource transmutation costs to ensure low and mid-end resources retain higher values, adjustments to node spawn mechanics, and the addition of gathering maps to guide players towards resource-rich locations.

The developers also promised new weapons and significant improvements to open world PvE for those who prefer to fight mobs rather than other players. The latter will be part of the next major update said the devs.

The full AMA session can be found on the Albion Online subreddit if you’re up for a long read.
