Albion Online Buffs War Gloves And Nerfs Maces In First Lands Awakened Post-Launch Patch

Albion Online has just received its first major Lands Awakened post-launch update less than a month after the massive update came out on the sandbox fantasy MMORPG. Of significant note are slight buffs to War Gloves damage, attackspeed, weapon skills, and status effects to put them on par with other weapons.
“Since War Gloves are an entirely new line that offers a lot of utility, outplay potential and combo setup, we wanted to make sure they don’t dominate the meta at launch and made sure that the kit has enough drawbacks,” explained Sandbox Interactive. “However it seems we were a bit overcautious, and while they seemed in a good place in test cases, they somewhat underperformed in various areas in the Albion live world.”
“Patch 1 makes some slight adjustments to ensure they are competitive in the combat meta, with a broad range of abilities across the line improved,” the studio said. “Maces have also been adjusted so that they don’t clearly outperform other, similar weapon types, with the Threatening Smash and Deep Leap abilities reworked somewhat.”
In addition to weapon balance tweaks, Lands Awakened Patch 1 also introduces a new system to prevent guild invite spam, a new Static Dungeon world map UI, changes to Headquarters Hideout requirements, and adjustments to the Fame conversion rate. The Corrupted Dungeon global cooldown has been removed and replaced by a 10-second entry cooldown among other changes and fixes.
The full patch notes can be found on the Albion Online official site if you want to get into the details. You can also check out the video below for an overview of the quality-of-life improvements that came with the Lands Awakened update.
