Albion Online announces Roadmap Update, featuring Joseph & Kay

Now you might think Joseph and Kay are real people, but don't worry - you've been bamboozled. Joseph and Kay are actually the codenames for Albion Online's next major updates!

A new, updated roadmap has been published by the Albion Online developers, and it has some rather solid new info. The Dev team has re-affirmed its goal of fixing remaining connectivity issues, and that will always be a top priority.

Update "Joseph"

There's a lot in this update. And we mean a lot. Scheduled for release in late September of early October, the Joseph update brings with it the Albion Arena - a chance for players to improve their PvP skills in non-deadly 5v5 matches. Lasting roughly 10 minutes each, the Arena will feature skill-based match-making.

The gameplay in the Arena features classic Capture the Point, and players who win will earn "arena tokens," which can be traded in for special rewards. Additionally, dungeons and fixed mobcamps will receive a significant boost in amount of loot chests found, two new Tier 6 expeditions are added, updates to the UI, and Combat & Item Balance updates!

"Kay"

The key features Albion Online will be adding in the Kay update are territory invasions and guild power rankings. Sandbox Interactive hopes to put a strong focus on the competitive element between guilds, and promise good rewards - such as stealing resources from other guilds, gaining resources for holding territories, and having leaderboards to introduce a more competitive element. The Kay patch is estimated to arrive before the end of 2017.

There is a lot of expect from Albion Online, and this roadmap shows lots of promise and focus on the PvP and competitive aspects of Albion Online - which definitely builds up a lot of hype and interest for what is in store for Albion Online's future.
