Albion Online Addresses PvP Dueling Exploit, Sanctions To Be Handed Out Accordingly

With PvP being a big part of Albion Online, there’s bound to be a few players who’ll resort to shady tactics to get ahead and ends up ruining the experience for everybody else. Once such tactic is a dueling exploit that basically allows one player to obstruct the other player’s path while hitting him with range attacks to get the easy win. Developer Sandbox Interactive addresses the issue in a recent forum post:
“During the duel, the exploiter will use mobility spells to run outside the dueling ring,” explains Sandbox Interactive. “The exploiter will then re-enter the ring, but at a location where a terrain obstruction will prevent the opponent from reaching him. This exploit is most commonly performed in the Conqueror's Hall, although it is not exclusive to that location.”
Abusing bugs in the game is a severe violation of the game’s terms of use and is grounds for account termination, or in other words a permaban. While the team doesn’t explicitly say that they’ll be banning accounts, they did assure the community that “sanctions will be handed out accordingly,” and advises victims to contact their support team at support@albiononline.com.
The team says that they’re currently looking at options to fix or prevent the exploit and will be addressing it in a future update.
