Aion EU Gets New Hero Battle PvP Mode And Character Boost Option

NCSoft has replaced most of the PvP arenas and battlefields in the European version of Aion with a new PvP game mode called Hero Battle in this week’s Update 8.3. In the new mode, players won’t be using their own characters but will instead choose from several pre-made heroes to fight other players in two new PvP instances: the 8-player free-for-all Arena of Chaos and the 9-player 3v3v3 Arena of Cooperation.

Another highlight of the update is the new Sprint Character feature that allows players to instantly create a fully-equipped level 80 character right from the character selection screen. Note that the option is only available once per account so choose your class wisely.

“[…] There is no need to level up the character manually, which allows you to go into battle straight away. This is especially interesting if you’re a new AION player – that way you can get playing without the least delay. This newly created character comes with some high-quality equipment so you can jump straight into the fray and advance quickly!”

The update also adds new Aphsaranta content, including a new world raid, a Lake Pledge treasure hunt, and new daily login rewards. You can check out the full Update 8.3 release notes on the Aion EU official site.
