AdventureQuest 3D Was Pulled From App Stores Due To Elvira’s ‘Magical Orbs’

The mobile version of AdventureQuest 3D was de-listed from both the App Store and Google Play earlier this week because its Halloween promo header was apparently deemed NSFW by both platforms. The image in question shows Elvira, the Mistress of the Dark and guest host of the game’s 20th anniversary event, with a rather deep neckline, as shown in our own header image above.

“Apparently our AdventureQuest 3D’s special guest image was a little too spicy for the app store,” Artix Entertainment joked. “The app was temporarily unlisted until our new store images are approved. We sent them in this morning, cross your fingers for a speedy reinstatement.”

It’s worth noting that the de-listing didn’t affect existing players in any way, it just prevented them from downloading or re-downloading the game. The app is now back on both platforms as of this writing with the “raunchy” header simply shifted a little to the right to obscure Elvira’s magical orbs. Sorry guys.
