AdventureQuest 3D Open Beta To Begin On October 18th

Artix Entertainment announced today that it will begin rolling out the AdventureQuest 3D Open Beta on PC, Mac, Android, and iOS on October 18th. The announcement technically states "October 18th-ish" because the game will not be live on all platforms on October 18th, but it will be playable on at least one platform. Though the announcement does not specify which platform(s), the Steam store page has been updated with an October 18th release date, so it is safe to assume that the Steam version will be going live on that day.
The Open Beta will begin with an update that introduces Shadow Skull Tower, a dungeon with randomized floors. According to the announcement, "players will need the best items in the game and to work together to battle to the top of the tower." Should they reach the top of the tower, they will need to face off against the NecroKnight.
Later updates will introduce "Mogloween," a haunted house, balance updates, new items, and a "volcanic dragon area." Additionally, Closed Beta participants will receive a Closed Beta badge on their character page once Open Beta begins.
A new trailer that introduces Shadow Skull Tower and formally unveils the October 18th Open Beta date is embedded below.
