A Quick Look at Diablo III's Patch 2.4.0 and Season 5 Updates

Season 5 of Diablo III is coming out on January 15, 2016 at 5PM PDT, and since it's the season of giving, Blizzard has generously prepared a guide to give players a first look at the next season and to help seasonal players get off to a running start when the patch finally goes live.

The guide introduces players to seasonal game changes including the removal of Season-exclusive Legendary Items from the game. All new Legendary Items included in Patch 2.4.0 will be available to all players regardless of whether they participated in the Season or not. Item-based rewards, however, will still be given in the form of Set items received by completing certain milestones in the Season Journey.

Season 5 also includes new and upated conquests, a variety of fresh cosmetic items, and the ability to transform a non-Seasonal character into a Seasonal one via the new Season Rebirth feature.
