9.7 Million People Learned To Hate Bastion In Overwatch Last Weekend

Blizzard announced today via press release that the Overwatch Open Beta was a resounding success, seeing over 9.7 million players jump in and take part in its ever so charming team battles. These 9.7 million strong played for a total of 4.9 billion minutes, an average of almost 8.4 hours per person. When all was said and done, over 37 million matches had been played.

But inarguably more importantly, 9.7 million players learned to hate Bastion. The transforming turret robot has inspired memes upon memes. He is the bane of every Overwatch player's existence to the point that Blizzard stepped in and recommended using Genji, Hanzo, or Widowmaker as a counter to Bastion.
