12 Minutes of Tera Footage on PS4 Pro Released

While we still don't have a definitive release date for Tera to launch on consoles, IGN recorded and released a 12 minute video showing what the game looks like on the PS4 Pro. IGN described the feel of the game on console as:

[Tera] plays more like an action game than most of its MMO competition, relying on actual timing, dodging, and aim over damage dice rolls. It makes Tera feel closer to Devil May Cry than World of Warcraft, and as a result fits on a gamepad almost naturally.

Given that Tera is a non targeted action MMORPG, I'm not surprised it works well with a controller. Other action MMORPGs like Neverwinter and DC Universe Online have already made their ways over to console. In fact there are quite a few console MMORPGs out there already with many more on the way (Black Desert Online is coming to consoles in 2018).

En Masse / Blue Hole originally stated that the console launch will happen in 2017 but given that there's still no release date, that's likely not going to happen. With the year wrapping up soon it looks like Tera likely won't be making it to consoles in 2017 but I suspect it'll launch on there in Q1 2018. But that's just my guess.
