Vidiludi Games announced last week that their top-down zombie survival MMORPG has gone free-to-play in an effort to bolster the in-game community. According to Steam Charts, prior to the move to free-to-play, Immune was boasting anywhere between 11 and 18 players on average. Since the move to free-to-play, the average has gone up to somewhere between 20 and 40.
According to developer comments on the free-to-play announcement, those who previously paid for the game will not receive any bonuses because they already "got more drops and lower key prices" in addition to "a special helmet as mission reward, which will never be dropped again."
If you want to try Immune out, you can download it now via Steam. The game is still in Early Access for the time being and the move to free-to-play did not signal the game entering a release state.

According to Gamasutra, "a source close to the matter" has disclosed a round of layoffs at Aeria Games following the merger with Gamigo that was announced at the end of May. There is no word on what projects might be affected at this time.
Ub3rgames announced last week that its Darkfall Online reboot, Darkfall: New Dawn, has soft-launched. The current server is still in development, but some of players' progress on the InDev server will persist, the details of which can be found here.
The server will allow users to play for free for the first three weeks. If you're interested in seeing what New Dawn might have in store for players, now's the time to try it out. Just keep in mind that it won't quite be representative of the final version.
The first full set of patch notes was published alongside the announcement. In an effort to reduce the game's notorious grind, the team at Ub3rgames set the leveling speed to 10x. All quests now give "a minimum of 400mp." Skills that were deemed "redundant," such as Run and Sprint, have been removed. You can find the full set of patch notes here.
Think that Overwatch Competitive matches might be unfairly adjusting your skill rating? For once, you might actually be right. Yesterday, Game Director Jeff Kaplan posted the following message in a thread on the official forums about points being assigned incorrectly when playing on a Control map.
Last night, though, we uncovered a bug that is causing skill rating to not be adjusted properly in our Control Maps (Nepal, Lijiang Tower, Ilios). This bug is a top priority right now and we're hoping to have a fix ASAP.
Unfortunately, for now, all we can do is wait—or not play Control maps. In the meantime, if you do partake in Competitive Control matches, be aware that your skill rating may not be adjusted properly.

In a new video posted today, Blizzard revealed that not one, but two new Heroes of the Storm Heroes are in development: Auriel from Diablo 3 and Gul'dan from World of Warcraft. Not many details have been unveiled as of yet, but both new Heroes appear to be ranged characters. Auriel appears to have a high damage ability in which two ribbons collide, dealing damage to whoever is caught in between them. Another of her abilities appears to be a ranged ability that both knocks back and roots the target.
There are also a number of new skins on display. Perhaps the most intriguing of these is the volleyball-themed Striker Li-Ming skin.

A new job listing has been spotted on Blizzard Entertainment's careers website, that of Game Director for an as yet unannounced Diablo title—maybe even titles. The job listing specifically states that Blizzard is looking for someone to "lead the Diablo series into the future." The exact number of games that entails is fuzzy at this time.
Could the next title be Diablo 4? Could it be a mobile title? Could Blizzard finally be answering the overwhelming demand for a PvP-focused Diablo title? I suppose we will have to wait to find out.
