Neverwinter Unveils Oathbound Paladin

Neverwinter recently unveiled details about their upcoming class, the Oathbound Paladin. Sticking true to the image of a paladin, the Oathbound variety will be able to either be a healer or a tank depending on their Paragon Paths. This lets them take either an Oath of Protection or an Oath of Devotion, each of which gives unique passive abilities to the paladin. Their class mechanic is called Divine call and will be generated passively and whenever Encounter Powers are used. Up to three charges may be stored and players can use them to make a big impact in the heat of battle. The class will be able to taunt nearby enemies and unleash their own damage back at them. They can also give a powerful shield to themselves or to allies in order to protect them in combat. Whether tanking or healing, this class is sure to satisfy.

Defiance

SWTOR Cracks Down on Exploiters

Star Wars: The Old Republic is a game that has been marred by various controversies since its release, and in-game exploits is one of the biggest ones. A recent exploit that has drawn the attention and ire of many players has finally been addressed by the staff at BioWare. This abuse (know as the Ravager's Exploit) involved farming end game content with little to no effort, adversely affecting the economy of the game. BioWare community manager Eric Musco wrote on the forums, explaining how the staff handles exploits in general and how they would handle this particular one. For the players that abused this bug, there will be a wide range of penalties that they will incur. Depending on the amount of times that the Ravager's Exploit was used, punishments can range from a warning to full and permanent account suspension. This is much welcome news as many players were complaining about the current state of the game with the markets being greatly warped by the exploit.

WildStar Announces Future PvP Plans

The WildStar team outlined the upcoming PvP additions in their latest release notes for WildStar. They stressed the importance of PvP within their MMO and in the genre overall. Team WildStar is planning on adding smaller PvP quests that players can complete daily. They also plan on adding larger-scale quests that will take the course of a week to finish. Random-queue bonuses will also be implemented and will give players rewards for using the random queue. There will also be changes made to the gear system, as there will now be more viable PvP equipment. The new PvP gear will be significantly stronger than the equivalent PvE gear. All additions are made with the hope that players will participate in PvP more frequently and regularly.

Elesis's Dark Knight Class Launched in Elsword

Elsword has released Elesis's Dark Knight class, which uses the power of darkness to destroy her opponents. Her newest class is very different from her others because of the unique blood mechanic that it uses. Elesis can now use Dark Powers which allow her to use some of her HP in order to deal massive amounts of damage. The lower her HP gets, the more damage she does. KOG Games has simultaneously launched a Level Boost Event in celebration of the new class and are also offering to boost any player's Elesis to level 35 for free! Upcoming TERA Update Includes Castles in the Sky

Announced for February 24, the big TERA update will include several large changes to the overall game and some new additions that will keep the players competitive. The update will overhaul the current GvG battle system and will introduce competitions with leagues for both PvP and PvE content. These Crusades will offer ongoing GvG action for a duration of four weeks, with points being earned from dungeons, battlegrounds, and GvG battles. There will also be a new 5v5  PvP battleground, Champions' Skyring mark V, where players can fight it out. A new airship dungeon, Sky Cruiser Endeavor, will also be available with both normal and hard modes offering epic boss battles. A huge hit since launch, TERA has achieved critical and commercial acclaim and continues to boast strong numbers, with over 17 million registered players and numerous awards.

Skycastles will be floating guild houses that are awarded to the top Crusade guilds on each server. Each Skycastle will be customizable to reflect the unique color and personality of each respective owner. They will be the ultimate and everlasting symbol of a guild's dominance and should be goal of every guild on TERA.
