Spellstone is a free to play CCG developed and published by Synapse Games and published by Kongregate. It aims to compete with titles like Hearthstone, Shadowverse, Astral Heroes, Duelyst, and other card games. The core gameplay is unique as players have much less health than traditional CCGs and playing cards doesn't require mana. Individual cards can be upgraded though, so players need to grind for long hours to make competitive decks, which will turn competitive users away from the game. The actual card art and core gameplay mechanics are quite fun though. Spellstone also has a pretty exhaustive single player campaign which gives the game a lot of solo playability. Like Shadowverse and Hearthstone, Spellstone is cross platform compatible with android and ios devices.
