CrossFire is the most popular free to play shooter in the world, generating over $1 billion in revenue in 2014. The game is published by Z8Games in the West and developed by South Korean firm SmileGate. CrossFire is the second most profitable PC game after League of Legends. The core gameplay is similar to titles like Combat Arms, Sudden Attack, and Soldier Front. I do have to say though that despite the similarities with these games, CrossFire does feel smoother and better polished.
