During today's stream of the HCG Europe Heroes of the Storm tournament Blizzard unveiled their next Specialist: Probius. The adorable Protoss bot must construct additional Pylons to aid his teammates. You can watch the reveal trailer embedded in the tweet below.
At a quick glance it looks like Pylons will function like turrets, making Probius a castle defense tactician.
Probius is headed to the PTR on March 6th, and will be live on the servers soon after. We'll have more information about Probius soon.

It's everyone's favorite categorical news: Rumorville. We may see Lost Ark enter Closed Beta 2 this June or July according to Steparu, via LostArkDB. While it may or may not be true, it certainly would be about that time for another testing phase. The first CBT was held last summer.
In other rumor news, SmileGate has apparently planned for four phases of Closed Beta testing before an Open Beta launch. If that's the case we still have to wait quite a bit before Lost Ark will grace Western shores.
Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade is making the shift to free to play and today the developers took to their forums to explain what that means for their game. The transition does not mean the entire game will be free. Rather there will be a base version, with slower progression and limitations on what classes can be played.
Ork only, with only one class available would have messed up class, faction, and matchmaking balance on an epic scale. We now allow all classes except Air Assault; all progression is at 1/3 of the paying player, and you still need to pay either $20 or 20,000 RTC to unlock the full game.
The transition will happen slowly. Sometime over the course of the next three weeks the team will hand out a limited number of trial keys for the free edition of the game. Alienware is a partner, and there will be other partners distributing the keys as well: about 250,000 in all.
Going free-to-play may help invigorate Eternal Crusade's playerbase and help it reach a wider audience. The initial $50 price tag was a bit steep, and in my own experience Warhammer games over the years have been a mixed bag. But I am looking forward to trying Eternal Crusade, and maybe I'll be persuaded to purchase the full game when it goes free-to-play.
Overwatch's newest hero is the four-legged robot Orisa, who is a tank that wields a fusion-based gun. As expected, Orisa was developed by 11 year old inventor Efi Oladele, who Blizzard revealed in a faux interview last week. After Doomfist attacked Numbani airprot, young Efi re-developed the OR-15 robots into a formidable tank to protect the city—which you can watch in the video below.
Orisa serves as the central anchor of her team, and defends her teammates from the frontline with a protective barrier. She can attack from long range, fortify her own defenses, launch graviton charges to slow and move enemies, and deploy a Supercharger to boost the damage output of multiple allies at once.
Orisa is designed to be another Tank option, mitigating team composition dependency on Reinhardt. Her primary weapon, the Fusion Driver, is a "projectile based machine gun," and as she fires it Orisa will move slower. The secondary fire sends out a pulse, which will draw targets within its range to a single position: a mini-Zarya ultimate.
The robotic tank can also Fortify herself, temporarily making her immune to Crowd Control. She can also lay down a Protective Barrier—similar to Reinhardt's barrier shield—which will protect her and allies. And then there's her ultimate, Supercharger: powering up her allies abilities.
You can play Orisa right now on the Public Test Realm. If you have a chance to try her out let us know what you think!

Last night I found myself enthralled by a documentary called Web Junkies, which explores what is essentially a boot camp for Chinese teenagers diagnosed with Internet Addiction. So I'm sharing it with you, and you can watch it for yourself below.
The BBC documentary presents itself much like "Jesus Camp"—if you've seen that one—in that there is no narrator. The camera is like a specter, following the lives of a few teenagers in the rehabilitation program as well as the parents and the program's director, who likens going to internet cafes to "digital heroin."
At times the documentary feels dreamlike for it's bizarre atmosphere. While also being heartbreaking as we learn about the people whose lives are affected. Fun fact: In 2008 China became the first country to consider Internet Addiction a clinical disorder.
If you've watched Web Junkies or get a chance to, let me know what you think in the comments below.
We also have a list of MMO and MMORPG related documentaries, including the highly recommended Life 2.0: a revealing documentary about a handful of Second Life players. (And Web Junkies also happens to be on the list).
Private Vanilla World of Warcraft server Elysium has announced that they are going open source with their server's core. About time. Remember when Nostalrius promised to do something similar? The announcement arrives after a recent leak of the Elysium source code. Go figure.
Thank you for being ever vigilant and dedicated to our project. As you know recently we reached almost 190k unique players logged into the realms since Feb 1st. That was only the beginning, now, join us for the future of Elysium and Legacy Servers.
Elysium has not been immune from controversy lately, which is unfortunate for the entire private Vanilla WoW server community. But this may be viewed as a way to mend soured relationships with, and should help ensure that the community doesn't fade if anything were to happen to the current servers available.
Revelation Online's progression can feel overwhelming at times but luckily My.com has been steadily releasing guides and today we have one detailing Character Paths. You may have stumbled upon the UI element from your character sheet; it's the second tab and features six circles. You can think of them as markers of your character's growth.
The paths are labeled as followed:
Novitiate (Level 29)
Journeyman (Level 39)
Wanderer (Level 49)
Adventurer (Level 59)
Intrepid (Level 69)
Conqueror (Level 79)
What's so important about them? Character Paths grant additional stats as well as increasing the amount of Skill Cultivation available to you. To unlock the next Path you'll need to meet the level requirement—listed above—as well as acquire an Elemental Essence: earned by completing a corresponding quest.
But sometimes you'll have to reach other requirements beyond just a level, such as learning a particular flying skills, earning a certain number of Skill Cultivation Points, etc. Sometimes you only need to meet a few requirements before unlocking the Path.
At some point you will need need an advanced flying skill, which will require Army Coins, Special Skill - Broken Seal, and a PvP rank. Sorry exclusive PvErs.
Lastly, you'll need to cultivate your skills, unlocking a certain of skill cultivation points and upgrading your skills powers—requiring Excelsior and Imperial Notes. Nothing in life is free. And you'll also need "Annex Benediction." That's not an NPC. That's a resource used to unlock more skill cultivation and can be purchase from your respective class trainer.
If you're still not sure how to feel about Revelation Online be sure to check out our stream this Grindfest Friday when the MMOs.com crew will voice their initial impressions just before the game heads into Open Beta.
Stardew Valley is going to be released for the Nintendo Switch, as you may have heard, but PC players will still get to try out the multiplayer features first. Nintendo's Tweet earlier today made some people think their console would get first dibs. Don't worry.
"PC users will still get to check out Stardew Valley multiplayer first," says Chucklefish's Molly Carroll, but that update won't be ready in time for summer, either. "It'll take some more time to get multiplayer where we want it to be!" -PCGamer
No, Stardew Valley is not an MMO. At least not for now. But it's charming gameplay means we had to keep up with it. Remo even took a first look at Stardew Valley, which you can watch below.
