GAMEVIL soft-launched their revolutionary mobile shooter Afterpulse on iOS in Vietnam, Signapore, Thailand, and Australia. Why is it a revolution? Afterpulse pushes the graphical capabilities of mobile devices to their limits, revealing just how powerful technology has become. Developed by Digital Legends Enetrainment, Afterpulse features HDR post processing, ragdoll physics, and intricate shadows covering the battlefiled. The one question I have is, "how long will my battery last?"
Yearning to rival PC and console counterparts, Afterpulse will pair partners through a matchmaking system to compete in 8 player team deathmatch or free-for-all. Seven weapons and personalized arsenals allow players to attack the game through a distinct layout. I'm not one for touch-screen controls in competitive gaming, but Afterpulse has MFi controller support. And I can't see playing any other way in a fast-paced FPS.
Publishing company GAMEVIL is primarily known for RPG's like  Dragon Blaze, but are changing up their strategy by entering the shooting arena. Whereas Digital Legends Entertainment previously developed the free shooter Respawnables. Afterpulse aims to bring competitive FPS to touch devices for less than a 400MB download.
If Afterpulse accomplishes anything it's in proving that mobile devices are becoming increasingly powerful, and will rival traditional platforms sooner than later. Whether the typical mobile gamer wants an experience similar to PC and console gaming remains to be seen.

Webzen has partnered with developer Npicsoft to push a Western release for Elite Lord of Alliance (ELOA), a strange prospect because one Western iteration of ELOA already existsâInspirit Online. In one of the strangest disputes of recent memory, Npicsoft accused Inspirit Online's publisher Game Release Entertainment (GRE.ltd) of illegally using their assets. Promotional beta key giveaways for Inspirit Online were met by copyright claims issued from Npicsoft.
According to a post by one of Inspirit Online's managers on the forums Npicsoft is a"former developer" using a "a combination of scare tactics... ...to conduct defamation by throwing false claims and paperwork at media outlets..." Well, according to today's press release Npicsoft certainly doesn't believe they no longer own the IP. I couldn't find any previous news stating that the IP was for sale either, so the allegation that GRE.ltd published a game they had no rights to with suffieicent infrastrucutre is mind-boggling.
The push for a Western release by Webzen and Npicsoft seems like a gesture towards GRE.ltd. If they can't stop them, might as well enter the arena and see who can still stand at the end of the fight. The first Western beta is scheduled to begin sometime in the fall, with a full release planned before the end of the year.
Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void is scheduled to release on November 10, 2015, and in preparation Blizzard released an awesome movie-esque cinematic trailer. The company never fails to let down with their cut-scenes. Through the campaign players will fight for the Protoss, to reclaim Aiur from the Zerg horde. The latest standalone expansion welcomes additional units and changes to multiplayer.

Allods Online's newest patch Thunder of Victory adds 3v3 and 6v6 rated combat, complete with a personal ranking system. In classic deathmatch fashion two teams enter the ring and only one can emerge victorious. If neither team can eviscerate their enemies within the 20 minute time limit, the match ends in a draw and no one takes glory home.
Forging the right team will see players climb the leaderboards, and bolster their personal rating that will be tallied in the reputation tab. But don't fret facing skilled opponents. Matchmaking will place teams together with an average rating within 500 points of each other. But if you're on a losing streak, it's best to take a break. As each victory or defeat will move your position on the leader-board.
The update introduces three arena with which to duke it out: Tilt Yars, Bloody Circus, and Evildoer's District (my hometown). Each map will offer their own conditions that players will have to negotiate tactfully to gain the advantage.
Gladiators who earn the highest rating weekly will receive their just desserts, while the true prize will be awarded to skilled players at the end of the season.
Nexon released a new trailer for Tree of Savior, highlighting the 4 starter classes and visually explaining their specialties. The trailer arrives just before Japan's first closed beta test is set to begin on October 01, and run until October 05.
While there is still no mention of the next English CBT it will inevitably arrive. And this writer is antsy to grind cute-mobs until the sun reminds him about sleep.

Rusty Hearts was an action MMORPG that combined traditional RPG elements with brawler gameplay. Its fast-paced brawler combat allowed players to fight hordes of enemies cooperatively while racking up their combo counters and completing quests. The Rusty Hearts soundtrack was commissioned by the developer Stairway Games. The Soundcloud embed features all of the BGMs, tracks, and music from the Rusty Hearts Soundtrack. The game originally launched on September 20, 2011 and was subsequently shut down on September 15, 2014. One of the first shutdowns that Rusty Hearts experienced was its Japanese servers hosted by Sega, which led to a chain of its international servers shutting down. After the gameâs closure the original game developer, Stairway Games, began to offer 3D models and assets from Rusty Hearts on the Unity Asset Store for future game developers to use.
Sword Coast Legends is a tabletop-inspired RPG set in the Dungeon's & Dragons campaign Forgotten Realms. Players work together to conquer the campaign or can play in DM mode, where one player assumes the role of Dungeon Master and challenges their friends to a customized dungeon in real-time.

Lord of the Rings Online's free server transfers begin on September 14th, as part of LOTRO's worlds consolidation and move to a new data center. Players with characters on Estel and Elendilmir will be able to transfer to one of the remaining servers by clicking the "Transfer" button underneath the "Play" button in the launcher. 10 world will remain at the end of the year, 5 US and 5 EU. On October 1st transfers between the remaining 10 servers will once again require payment, but players leaving their home world will be able to transfer for free until the end of the year, when the servers shut down for good.
