RIFT's Fifth Anniversary Continues With The Launch Of Update 3.6
RIFT's fifth anniversary is still going strong with the launch of Update 3.6. This long-awaited update adds five new souls and multicore support, among other additions.
The new souls are Frostkeeper, Maelstrom, Runeshaper, Shadeborn, and Warchanter. These souls are available to all Callings, allowing the mage to heal the tank or the rogue to deal damage to multiple targets, for example. Previous souls have been reworked so that they can compete with the newer souls "in terms of DPS and overall utility."
Players can now receive daily rewards for logging in via the Daily Rewards Calendar. Rewards include "resource bundles, raid currency, artifacts, dream orbs, planar experience, and more."
Patrons will receive Patron-exclusive quests that grant "awesome rewards" when completed. These quests are handed out to Patrons monthly.
The Carnival of the Ascended has begun. Players can obtain artifacts from the Frogifact event. A new instant adventure will task players with saving the carnival's denizens. Six new "lore-filled" Raid Rifts, dailies, a quest line related to the carnival, and new artifact sets are also included.
Players will be granted Hit and Endurance buffs when playing Tier 1 and Tier 2 raids in the time leading up to Tier 3 raids in May. Trion wants to give everyone a chance to experience the content and a headstart on Tier 3.
