Escape From Tarkov To Bring "Next Level Realism" To MMOFPSs

Battlestate Games announced their upcoming MMOFPS Escape From Tarkov with the release of a rather impressive-looking trailer. Escape From Tarkov looks to provide a realistic setting in the Russian City of Tarkov where you find yourself working for one of "two private military companies locked in bloody conflict on the streets of the settlement surrounded by UN forces and Russian Military." A "twisted plot" and "many dangers"—including an "aggressive environment"—will define your stay in Tarkov as you work to escape it.
Escape From Tarkov is also aiming to bring players something that I've personally heard other developers say isn't possible in an MMO setting—provide "next-level realism." Your character's injuries and physical state will affect you in-game. Realistic bullet physics will be employed. You will have "absolute control of movement." An "advanced system [of] weapon handling and customization" will allow control over your weapon in addition to your player
Players will be provided with a number of in-game activities. In addition to questing, players can raid enemy bases, take part in stealth operations and cooperative missions, collect resources, and more. A player-run economy that is regulated by an AI will allow players to even open their own businesses, should they want to.
It all sounds a bit too good to be true, but we will have to wait and see. It is certainly an ambitious project. Currently, Battlestate Games are planning to hold a beta in early 2016. If this sounds like something you are interested in, you can head over to the official website and sign up now.
